Dan Green, Consulting Forester
Dan () has wide expertise in forest management including harvesting, reforestation, road construction, inventories and young stand management. He is also experienced in Christmas tree management, having had his own farms since 1976. He regularly testifies as an expert witness in both Christmas tree and forestry cases.

Before coming to Woodland in 1984, Dan was Extension Agent and Associate Professor with the Oregon State University Extension Service. During his 8 years with Extension, Dan designed and taught practical education courses for foresters and woodland owners.

Prior experience includes five years with the Oregon State Department of Forestry in Coos Bay and Forest Grove. In Coos Bay Dan was in charge of the 30,000 acre Millicoma timber management area with an annual harvest level from clearcuts and thinnings of 17 million board feet.

Dan's volunteer professional service includes national, state and local positions with the Society of American Foresters including Co-chair of the 1999 National Convention Program Committee and State Chair of Oregon SAF in 1996. He was elected to the rank of Fellow by the SAF in 1999.

Dan has presented many forestry classes, tours and seminars and has published numerous forestry articles. He is a graduate of Oregon State University (B.S. Forest Management, 1969) and the University of Idaho (M.S. Forest Science, 1976). In 2002, he was given the credentials of "Certified Forester" by the Society of American Foresters.
